         Frederico A.A. Lencioni is graduated in Sciences from the University of Mogi das Cruzes in 1996 with a degree in Biology. Is employee of the State of São Paulo Court  of  Justice  since  1993,  and  since 1995 has done research with Sub-Order Zygoptera (Odonata) as autonomous, during this period published 2 books and 11 papers,  describing  2 new genera and 15 new species.

          In 2005 was invited to participate in the elaboration of the Brazilian Red Data Book by the Biodiversitas Foundation. Identifies Zygoptera material for several large research institutes (INPA, MNRJ, MZUSP, IRSNB, etc.).

       Member of Societas Internationalis Odonatologica, the Worldwide Dragonfly association, and Founding member of the SOL (latinoamericana), currently is subject editor of the Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington.
